Franklin County Senior Options (FCSO) helps Franklin County (Ohio) residents, age 60 and older maintain their independence. It also supports family members with the often-overwhelming task of caring for a frail older parent, family member, or friend with limited abilities.

Senior Options has been providing community-based services since 1993. These services include: home delivered meals, homemaker, personal care, respite care, adult day care, transportation, emergency response systems, and minor home repair.

Senior Options, administered by the Franklin County Office on Aging, is the one stop shopping point for information and access to senior services. A single call to FCSO at (614) 525-6200 can link older adults and their families with a caring professional trained to help solve senior problems.

Approximately 6,000 older adults receive Senior Options services monthly. Over 75 percent of the participants are female, over 50 percent are over 75 years of age, and 30 percent have identified themselves as members of minority groups. Over 4,000 callers per month contact Senior Options for information and referral or access to services.

Senior Options is funded by the Senior Services Levy, which has been passed by Franklin County voters every 5 years since 1992.
